Daniel is a native of Barnesville, GA. He obtained a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2006. Daniel shifted his focus from veterinary medicine to wildlife ecology late in his undergraduate career and has since immersed himself in the field of wildlife ecology working with a variety of taxa.
Daniel is currently a M.S. student working under the advisement of Drs. Karl Miller and Richard Chandler. His M.S. research is focused on the movement ecology of white-tailed deer in South Florida. More specifically, Daniel is interested in the effects of hydrology, predation, and recreational hunting on white-tailed deer movement in the seasonally flooded, predator-rich Big Cypress Basin of South Florida.
